Sansibar Natur und Tierwelt<\/h2>\n\n

Im Mittelpunkt eines Sansibar-Urlaubs steht die Natur: Sobald man sich Sansibar n\u00e4hert, besticht die afrikanische Insel mit ihrem ganz besonderen Charme: t\u00fcrkisblaue Buchten und wei\u00dfe Str\u00e4nde soweit das Auge reicht.<\/p>\n

Sansibar ist von einem Barriereriff und zahlreichen Korallenb\u00e4nken umgeben und bietet somit eine tropische Unterwasserwelt, die ihresgleichen sucht. Bunte Fischschw\u00e4rme, Delfine und an manchen Stellen Haie bev\u00f6lkern die Gew\u00e4sser von Sansibar.<\/p>\n

Auf dem Land<\/h3>\n

An Land hingegen pr\u00e4gt der Mangrovenwald das Landschaftsbild. Dieser f\u00fcr Koralleninseln typische dschungelartige Regenwald mit seinen meterhohen Kokospalmen reicht oft bis an den Strand. Er erstreckt sich \u00fcber die wellige H\u00fcgellandschaft der Insel, deren h\u00f6chster Punkt der Monte Masingini mit 135 Metern ist. Im Inneren der Insel finden Sie zahlreiche Flie\u00dfgew\u00e4sser und einen \u00e4u\u00dferst fruchtbaren Boden, was neben den idealen klimatischen Bedingungen auch der Grund daf\u00fcr ist, dass auf der Insel so viele verschiedene Gew\u00fcrzarten angebaut werden k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n

Zimt, Pfeffer, Ingwer, Vanille und Nelken<\/h3>\n

Auf der Insel wachsen Zimt, Pfeffer, Ingwer, Vanille und Nelken, weshalb sie ihren Gew\u00fcrzpflanzen ihren Spitznamen \u201eGew\u00fcrzinsel\u201c verdankt.<\/p>\n

Roter Colobus-Affe<\/h3>\n

Sansibar ist auch die Heimat einer Vielzahl von Tierarten, wie zum Beispiel dem Roten Stummelaffen.<\/p>\n

Jozani-Wald<\/h2>\n

Der bekannteste ist der Jozani-Wald, der eine Vielzahl von Tierarten beheimatet. Besonders erw\u00e4hnenswert ist hier der rote Colobus-Affe. Diese Affenart ist nur auf Sansibar beheimatet und war lange Zeit vom Aussterben bedroht. Gef\u00fchrte Touren werden durch den Jozani-Nationalpark angeboten.<\/p>\n

Ngezi-Naturreservat auf Pemba<\/h3>\n

Es gibt auch das Ngezi-Naturreservat auf Pemba, der kleineren der beiden Hauptinseln Sansibars. Der Ngezi-Wald weist eine gro\u00dfe Anzahl an Pflanzen und Tieren auf und ist besonders bei Naturliebhabern beliebt. S\u00fcdwestlich von Pemba liegt die Naturschutzinsel Misali, auch bekannt als \u201eJuwel von Pemba\u201c. Meeresschildkr\u00f6ten nisten h\u00e4ufig an den wei\u00dfen Korallensandstr\u00e4nden des Marine National Park.<\/p>\n

Meeresschutzgebiet Chumbe Island<\/h3>\n

Auch das Chumbe Island Marine Reserve beeindruckt mit seinem Naturstrand und den umliegenden Korallenb\u00e4nken. Die Insel ist in Privatbesitz und somit vor \u00e4u\u00dferen Einfl\u00fcssen gesch\u00fctzt.
