Nightlife
When the sun goes down on Zanzibar, the island’s discotheques and bars open their doors and the local taarab music fills the air. The nightlife is rather moderate but has its own charm. Also well known are the “moonlight festivals”, where the revelers are taken to “secret places” in specially dedicated motor boats when the moon is full.
